Newton’s American Restaurant Baramor is teaming up with Last Hope K9 Rescue to take outdoor dining to the next level by adding a special August event date to its fan-favorite dog-friendly charitable series.

This Barkamor event will be on Wednesday, August 17th, 2023 from 5:30PM-8:30PM. This pop-up event will be sponsored by Small Door Veterinary and Farmina Pet Foods. Looking to adopt? Last Hope K9 Rescue will be on site with a few wonderful rescue dogs. And for all owners in need of a drink, not only will Small Door Veterinary will cover your first cocktail or beer, our friend’s from True North Ale House will be on site offering up free tastings and beverage industry knowledge. The Green Lady Dispensary, Newton’s newest cannabis store, and Boston Dog Lawyers will also be on-site giving out swag and answering any pet law questions you may have!

Featuring live music, different dog-related vendors, interactive activities, special Tito’s Handmade Vodka cocktails, and rotating dog-friendly food menu items, the Barkamor experience offers enticing pampering opportunities for all the “good boys” in our lives…and their owners as well. Courtesy of Small Door Veterinary and Baramor, $10 per menu item from the special event menu will be donated to Last Hope K9 Rescue. Don’t have a dog? Get the chance to adopt one at every Barkamor event! Each pop-up will feature a variety of rescue dogs looking for loving homes.

Some of the charitable dog menu specials may include the Dog Pizookie, a playful twist on Baramor’s human-focused dessert pizookie, featuring a pile of Milk-Bones topped with whipped cream, the Mutt Mojito for dogs to experience full-on vacation mode, with steamed and pureed zucchini, peas, and mint serves as ice cubes, and the Good Boy, a peanut butter and banana smoothie for your good boy to lick tirelessly. Baramor’s regular menu will be served alongside the dog specials for hungry pooch parents that also wish to indulge.

“We have been seeing a lot of outdoor patio spaces being utilized across the Greater Boston Area recently, but not many of those spaces are dog-friendly. Here at Baramor, we are hoping that the Barkamor pop-up events will let locals know that their dogs are always welcomed & encouraged in our outdoor space! We think we could all use a little fun, and what better way to bring fun to the Newton community than letting our pooches tag along!” said Baramor Owner, Arpit Patel.

The main Barkamor series for other dates can be found at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/636124815447/

While the Barkamor events hope to encourage dog appearances in outdoor venues, Baramor’s outdoor patio will remain dog-friendly all patio season long! The full Barkamor series can be found at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/636124815447/

Tickets are free and dinner tables are first come first serve. We encourage guests to donate what they can when signing up with a recommended donation of $15 per person. All proceeds go directly to Last Hope K9 Rescue.

About Last Hope K9 Rescue:

Last Hope K9 Rescue is dedicated to saving abandoned, neglected, and abused dogs from high-kill shelters in Central Arkansas and beyond. Though their rescue efforts are focused in the Central Arkansas area, they also serve as a resource for local dog surrenders, shelters, and special rescue efforts in other areas. Last Hope K9 doesn’t discriminate on the basis of age, pre-existing medical conditions, or breed, because every dog deserves to know love.

As the literal “last hope” of the dogs they serve, their southern fosters pull dogs and puppies from partner shelters in Arkansas. While in foster, each dog receives love, care, and medical treatment, then receives a health clearance and transports to New England. After a mandatory 48-hour quarantine stay and an additional health clearance, each dog is picked up and fostered by a northern foster family who serves as a gateway to his/her adoptive home, affectionately known as a FURever home.
