DESCRIPTION:Join us at Needham Village Club in Needham\, MA on Sunday\, November 12th for our Adoption Showcase! We are thrilled to be hosting in-person adoption events in 2023. \nThis event will take the place of a virtual showcase in the month of November and will be held inside the community hall room. Our adoption check-in lines will be formed outside the building so please dress for the weather. Out of respect for all volunteers we ask that you wear a mask if not fully vaccinated. Please also wear a mask if you are more comfortable doing so! \nPlease review how this adoption event will run and then come meet our amazing adoptable dogs in person! \n1. Complete a Last Hope K9 Rescue Adoption Application. *If you are interested in adopting you must submit an application in advance of the event. During the event\, only potential adopters with applications on file will be able to enter the adoption event space* The LHK9 adoption application can be accessed here:\nhttps://petstablished.com/adoptions/personal-information…\n*Consider your application status prior to the event* \n2. Fully approved adopters can enter the event at 2pm \n3. Adopters with applications in process can enter the event at 3pm. \n4. You must submit an application online\, in advance of the event\, in order to meet the adoptable dogs in attendance. \n5. All dogs will be available for deposits\, and based on your application status as well as meeting additional pets & family members\, you may be able to adopt a dog and bring the pup home that day! If you are fully approved and plan to bring a dog home that day\, please remember to bring a 6ft leash (this does not include flexi or retractable leashes). \n6. *New Process Improvement*\nTo help ensure we have enough time to process all adoptions & deposits\, all contracts must be initiated by 3:45pm (15 minutes before the event ends) \n7. We will post a list of the dogs FRIDAY evening on 11/10/23 and keep it up to date until the event! \n*Important notes about meeting your furever family member*:\n– ALL kids under 5 will need to be in strollers or held for safety. We are happy to bring a dog you would like to meet out of the event space so there is more room to meet them.\n– If you are bringing your family to this event\, we have a few spaces reserved for dogs who appreciate slow introductions to new people and places. Children under the age of 16 will not be able to walk through every section of the adoption event. Having a second adult join your family can be helpful as children must be supervised at all times.\n– If you are bringing your dog to this event\, and wish to meet our adoptable dogs\, please bring a second person with you to hold your dog while you meet our adoptable dogs in the adoption event space. DESCRIPTION:Stop by to meet some of our adoptable dogs\, learn how our adoption and foster processes work\, and chat with volunteers about all things related to dog rescue and Last Hope K9! Whether you’re considering adopting a pup or you want to get involved with LHK9 as a foster or volunteer\, we’d love to meet you!    \nSince our 100% volunteer-run rescue was established 12 years ago\, we have found homes for more than 12\,000 dogs across New England — and we couldn’t have done it without the incredible support of the people and businesses in our community. We’re entirely foster-based and do not have a physical shelter\, so events like this are one of the ways we introduce our rescue to the community!   \nMany people ask us where our dogs come from! Our rescue partners in Arkansas pull dogs from more than ten different shelters and place them with an Arkansas-based foster family where they receive the love\, care\, medical treatment\, and the health certificate needed to transport to New England. After a mandatory 48-hour quarantine stay and an additional health check\, each dog is picked up and cared for by a Massachusetts-based foster family while we search for their forever family.  Each week we welcome approximately 15 dogs of all ages\, shapes\, sizes\, colors\, and breed mixes into our rescue. We love them all and are excited to introduce a few of them to you at this event!   \nDuring this Open House\, we will have a handful of LHK9 dogs attending to socialize with you and advocate for their fellow rescue pups. While there will be pups on site\, please note that this is not an adoption event\, applications are not required to attend and we will not process adoptions or deposits at the event.   \nDue to MA state law you must be 21+ to enter the dispensary\, so this is a 21+ event. \nWe hope this format gives you an opportunity to say hello & get to know us; and give a few pets & get a few tail-wags in return. DESCRIPTION:Join us at Crawford Memorial Church in Winchester\, MA on Saturday\, October 4th for a Last Hope K9 Rescue Adoption Event!\nAll attendees must have applications on file in order to be able to enter the adoption event space. The LHK9 adoption application can be accessed here. We highly recommend filling out the application prior to the event\, but it can also be completed on arrival.\n\n\nFully approved adopters can enter the event at 12pm.\nAdopters with applications in process can enter the event at 1pm.\nTo help ensure we have enough time to process all adoptions and deposits\, all adoption and/or deposit conversations must wrap up 15 minutes prior to the scheduled event end time.\nNote: All dogs are first come\, first serve. If there is a particular dog you are interested in meeting\, we highly recommend arriving early.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFully approved with no pets/additional humans at home? You may be able to adopt a dog and bring a pup home on event day! Please remember to bring a 6ft non-retractable leash. \nFully approved with pets or additional humans at home? If you make a connection during the event\, you can place a deposit of $100 toward the final adoption fee.
