DESCRIPTION:Join us at Gerry 5 on Sunday December 12h for our Adoption Showcase! After suspending in-person adoption events for the majority of 2020-2021\, we are thrilled to be hosting in-person adoption events again in addition to our virtual showcases. This event will take the place of a virtual showcase this weekend and will be held inside and outside. Out of respect for all volunteers we ask that you wear a mask if not fully vaccinated. Please also wear a mask if you are more comfortable doing so!\n\nPlease review how this adoption event will run and then come meet our amazing adoptable dogs in person!\n\n1. Complete a Last Hope K9 Rescue Adoption Application. *If you are interested in adopting you must submit an application in advance of the event. During the event\, only potential adopters with applications on file will be able to enter the adoption event space* The LHK9 adoption application can be accessed here: https://petstablished.com/adoptions/personal-information…\n*Consider your application status prior to the event*\n\n2. Fully approved adopters can enter the event at 11am\n\n3. Adopters with applications in process can enter the event at 12pm.\n\n4. You must submit an application online\, in advance of the event\, in order to meet the adoptable dogs in attendance.\n\n5. All dogs will be available for deposits\, and based on your application status as well as meeting additional pets & family members\, you may be able to adopt a dog and bring the pup home that day! If you are fully approved and plan to bring a dog home that day\, please remember to bring a 6ft leash (this does not include flexi or retractable leashes).\n\n6. Visit the “Discussion” on our Facebook event page to see the list of dogs attending. We will post a list of the dogs FRIDAY evening on November 12th and keep it up to date until the event!\n– ALL kids under 5 will need to be in strollers or held for safety. We are happy to bring a dog you would like to meet out of the event space so there is more room to meet them.\n\nDeposit info: All dogs attending events are available for deposits. Deposits can only be done at events in person and will hold the dog while an application is processed or until they can meet all animals and people in the home. DESCRIPTION:Join us at Sidelines Sports Bar & Grill on Sunday September 19th for our Adoption Showcase! \nAfter suspending in-person adoption events for the majority of 2020-2021\, we are thrilled to start hosting in-person adoption events again in addition to our virtual showcases. This event will take the place of a virtual showcase this weekend and will be held outside. You’ll find our event space located directly next to the building\, under the white tent located off the restaurant patio. Out of respect for all volunteers we ask that you wear a mask if not fully vaccinated. Please also wear a mask if you are more comfortable doing so! \nPlease review how this adoption event will run and then come meet our amazing adoptable dogs in person! \n1. Complete a Last Hope K9 Rescue Adoption Application. *If you are interested in adopting you must submit an application in advance of the event. We will post a list of the dogs FRIDAY evening on September 17th and keep it up to date until the event! \n– ALL kids under 5 will need to be in strollers or held for safety. We are happy to bring a dog you would like to meet out of the event space so there is more room to meet them. \nDeposit info: All dogs attending events are available for deposits. Deposits can only be done at events in person and will hold the dog while an application is processed or until they can meet all animals and people in the home. The deposit is non-refundable\, but does come off of the adoption fee if the dog is adopted. \n7. After meeting our adoptable dogs\, grab a seat to watch the 1:00PM NFL Patriots Game and enjoy some game-day specials for humans and dogs. After suspending in-person adoption events for the majority of 2020-2021\, we are thrilled to start hosting in-person adoption events again in addition to our virtual showcase. This event will take the place of a virtual showcase this weekend and will be held outside. You’ll find our event space located off the Harbor Walk at the end of the South Lawn. Out of respect for all volunteers we ask that you wear a mask if not fully vaccinated. \nPlease review how this adoption event will run and mark your calendar for August 1st to come meet our amazing adoptable dogs in person! \n1. Complete a Last Hope K9 Rescue Adoption Application. *If you are interested in adopting you must submit an application in advance of the event. Visit the “Discussion” on our Facebook event page to see the list of dogs attending. We will post a list of the dogs FRIDAY evening on July 30th and keep it up to date until the event! \n– ALL kids under 5 will need to be in strollers or held for safety. We are happy to bring a dog you would like to meet out of the event space so there is more room to meet them. \nDeposit info: All dogs attending events are available for deposits. Deposits can only be done at events in person and hold the dog while an application is processed or until they can meet all animals and people in the home. The deposit is non-refundable\, but does come off of the adoption fee if the dog is adopted. \n7. Following the event\, the Encore Boston Harbor will be hosting a special Yappy Hour Fundraiser on the South Lawn. Entry to the event is open to human guests and dog guests and there will be delicious treats available for all. Entry will also include a $5 donation with proceeds going to LHK9\, to support our mission of saving abandoned dogs in need. \nWe can’t wait to see potential adopters\, past adopters\, LHK9 friends and volunteers to join us to celebrate our return to adoption events! DESCRIPTION:**REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT HAS CLOSED**\n\nWelcome all to the virtual event page for the LHK9 Virtual Adoption Slideshow!\nLast Hope K9 Rescue is doing all we can to continue operating in a way that best serves our mission to save homeless dogs\, and that means focusing our efforts on opportunities to showcase our dogs virtually. We have suspended our in-person adoption events for the time being and as an alternative we are piloting new formats for helping our local community meet our adoptable dogs.\n*As of April 2021\, we’re excited to announce that we are able to adopt to CT\, NH\, RI and VT in addition to MA based on current COVID guidelines. To help serve our adoptive community and help our dogs find homes for the holidays\, attendance for the May events will only be granted for adopters that have fully completed their LHK9 application approval process. We also understand that the event registrations have been filling up at unprecedented speeds so moving forward\, registration will open on the MONDAY of the event week and close at 11am on the FRIDAY of the event week.\nThe Virtual Adoption Event Process below has been updated to reflect this new registration guidance\, please review and read these key additions:\n-Events posted will have registration open on Monday of that week\n-Events posted will only be open to fully approved (FA) adopters. If you are not fully approved at the time you register\, you will not receive the registration link. Please wait to register until you receive the approval email from our LHK9 Applications Team.\n-Events posted will have registration close on Friday of that week\n* REGISTRATION FOR THIS VIRTUAL ADOPTION SLIDESHOW WILL ONLY BE OPEN TO FULLY APPROVED ADOPTERS *\nThank you for your patience and understanding as we explore new formats for virtual adoption opportunities.\n\nHere is how this virtual adoption slideshow will go:\n1. Complete a Last Hope K9 Rescue Adoption Application. *If you are interested in adopting you must complete an application prior to sending us the dogs you’re interested in. Adoption application can be accessed here: https://petstablished.com/adoptions/personal-information…\n2. Receive your LHK9 application approval by email before registering for the Virtual Adoption Slideshow. *If you register for this event before receiving your approval email you will NOT receive access to the slideshow on Sunday*\n3. Register using this link: REGISTRATION FOR THIS EVENT HAS CLOSED\n4. On Sunday May 2nd at 10:30am all registered adopters will receive an email with a link to browse the available dogs in this slideshow. Please take your time looking through the bios and make a list of your top 5 dogs.\n5. On Sunday May 2nd between 11:00am – 12:00pm send an email to\nadoptions@lasthopek9.org with the list of dogs you are interested in meeting. Please do not send your email before 11:00am or after 12:00pm.\n– In order to give everyone time to review the slideshow\, requests received before 11:00am will NOT be considered.\n– ONE EMAIL PER HOUSEHOLD. Only the first email received will be considered; additional emails from members of the same household will not be considered.\n– Based on the order in which we receive responses\, as well as determining the appropriate fit for each pup\, we will match adopters and dogs for meet and greets.\n*You must receive your application approval and sign up by 11am on Friday April 30th to receive the email with our adoptable dogs*\n*Note: We understand that many families have vacation plans. If you have a trip coming up\, please wait to inquire about adoption until after you return. Once you are matched with a dog you have 7 days to welcome them home. We are not able to hold dogs during vacations.
